Overview

The ResizeXtra ActiveX control suite offers a range of powerful form functionality to give your forms more control using less coding. The powerful resizing tools put an end to writing resizing code. Four controls offer the following functionality:

  RXResizer

VB6 Resizer. Adds intelligent resizing to your forms with no programming. 
Intelligent resizing uses simple commands located in the Tag property of each control on your form to describe how that control resizes.
You can anchor the control to a combination of the left, top, right or bottom of the controls container or form or specify that the width or height changes proportionally.
Now when the form or container is resized the controls are repositioned or resized automatically. Works with normal forms, MDI forms, and MDI child forms.
Add to this the ability to remember the forms last size, position and state and to allow a choice of resize methods for the form, this adds up to a powerful control in its own right.
No more writing complex resize code!

Features

• Simple instructions embedded in the Tag properties of each control are all that is needed to create truly professional resizable applications.
• Position and state memory for your forms. When forms are reloaded they can be positioned at the same place as they were when last closed.
• Copes with controls that you add at run-time.
• Allows manual resize triggering when you change a containers size at run-time.

   RXSplitter

Offers a traditional splitter control which houses two container controls of your choice, which can be another RXSplitter control to create nested splitters. This control links to the RXResizer control, if present, to resize the child controls of the splitter panes when the splitter is moved or resized with no programming required.

• Ties in with the RXResizer control, if one exists on the same form, to resize the controls placed in the splitter panes when the splitter is resized.
• Limit the size of the panels.
• Indicates when a panel has been sized to zero.
• Splits in real-time when the OS supports dragging with full window contents.
• Restore the splitter position next time the form loads.
• Customise the splitter colour and size.

   RXPanel

This control offers a resizable panel for MDI forms and also has the following features:

• Ties in with the RXResizer control, if one exists on the same form, to resize the controls placed in the panel when the panel is resized.
• Limit the minimum and maximum size of the panels.
• Customise the background and resizable border colours.
• Resizes in real-time when the OS supports dragging with full window contents.
• Restore the panel size next time the form loads.

   RXShaper

Shapes the form to give transparent areas where the forms picture matches the specified mask colour. The form can also be moved by clicking and dragging the client area and you can pop-up a control menu wherever required. This has got to be the simplest way to create irregular shaped windows!

Features

• Shape your form by using its own Picture property. Just add the picture and select the colour you wish to be transparent.
• Optionally drag the window by clicking and dragging the client area or use the DragNow method to drag when the user clicks and drags any other control you choose.
• Pop-up a system menu.
